Schoology Q & A

Schoology Q & A for GAPS Parents

What program are we using to learn online?

Schoology is an integrated learning management platform. Within your child’s Schoology course, there will be a folder designated for each week. Please be sure to click on the correct weekly folder to see the content for that week.

Your child will use Schoology to navigate through Math and English Language Arts (ELA).

You will also see folders for the reading specialists and the specials teachers. Check out their folders for additional activities they have prepared, as well as, a folder with extra resources if you choose to explore.

When will I use it?

Courses will be launched on April 13, 2020 and continue through the school closure.

You may work with your child any day and at any time.

How will I complete the assignments?

You may need to gather some simple supplies from your house to help with the learning activities.

Every week you will find a four-page document that outlines the activities for the week. Please work through the content as time permits.

Each day is organized into separate learning menus for your child to work on. Your child may need some extra help to complete the activities, find what works best for you.

There will be four days of assignments each week. Fridays will be used as “Finish It Fridays”, if you choose to engage in the courses on a traditional Monday through Friday schedule.

What do I do with my assignments?

You will not be required to turn in the assignments. These assignments are enrichment and review activities.

Am I required to complete everything assigned each week?

Activities have been provided for enrichment and review. It is up to you to decide how much and how often you want to engage in these learning opportunities.

Will these assignments be graded?

What should I do if my child needs help?
