Students should not report to school until 8:05 a.m.

  • Student Breakfast $1.55

  • Reduced Student Breakfast 30¢

  • Student Lunch $2.50

  • Reduced Student Lunch 40¢

  • Extra Milk 50¢

RECESS

There is at least one recess per day. These outside opportunities provide students with experiences to engage in physical activities that promote health. We feel that children need to spend some time outside each day. Proper exercise is important in their development. Children are expected to go out each day unless recess is canceled due to inclement weather or extreme cold or windy conditions. We request your cooperation in the matter by having your child properly dressed.

The following guidelines will be followed:

  • Below 25°F (including wind chill) Lunch recess will be held indoors.

  • Below 25°F (including wind chill) PM recess at the Primary School will be cancelled.

Please see the school handbook for additional information regarding recess policies.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS

Students experiencing difficulties in reading may receive additional assistance from a reading specialist. Federal funds, through the Title I Program, are allocated at the Primary School to fund the intervention programs. Students must qualify for these programs using indicators that meet the criteria established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the US Office of Education.
Opportunities are also provided in the areas of gifted education for students meeting the specified criteria set forth by the state.

Additionally, Special education services are provided through Greencastle-Antrim School District, along with the Lincoln Intermediate Unit (LIU). Students must meet specific state guidelines to be recommended. These programs and services include: hearing impaired, visually impaired, autism, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language therapy, learning support, emotional support, and English as a second language.

VOLUNTEERS

We welcome you to volunteer in our schools! However, in order to provide a secure learning environment, all volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application Form, along with required clearances, prior arrest/conviction certification form, a Tuberculosis (TB) test, and Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse training.
