The Primary School STEM Curriculum provides students with opportunities to explore, wonder and create. While learning through inquiry, students develop an understanding of the scientific method and the engineering design process through a multitude of different experiences.
Many STEM lessons are also authentic literature; focusing on the concept of STEM infused literacy experiences. From building with blocks and Legos to creating structures with cardboard and recyclables, students are presented with unique and creative ways to solve problems and develop an understanding of the world around them.
Another integral part of our STEM curriculum is the introduction to the basic building blocks of coding. Students learn unplugged coding as early as kindergarten, and continue to grow these skills through the use of robots, block coding and basic programming functions.
